Safecare Medical Center is an established, full-service Primary Care Physician office that has been serving the South Broward and North Dade communities since 1967. We have two busy Primary Care offices conveniently located in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood, Florida. Our talented medical staff includes two Board Certified Internal Medicine Physicians, a Physician Assistant-Certified and two Licensed Massaged Therapists. Safecare Medical Center is open during regular business hours with the exception of one evening per week and alternating Saturdays to ensure accessible appointments for all of our patients.
Position Summary
Safecare Medical Center is seeking experienced candidates or new graduates to fill our full-time Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner position. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside our knowledgeable Board Certified Internists to diagnose, treat, prescribe and refer patients for follow-up treatment as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality direct patient care under the supervision of and in collaboration with our Board Certified Internists. The PA / NP will work directly with staff, physicians, administration, patients and families. The PA / NP will perform new and follow-up office visits which include but are not limited to:
- Capturing patient histories
- Performing physical exams
- Reviewing and prescribing medications
- Evaluating and ordering diagnostic tests
- Making medical diagnoses
- Developing appropriate plans of care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses
Required Skills and Qualifications
The Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) will demonstrate at minimum the following skills and qualifications to be considered for this position:
- Florida Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- ANCC or NCCPA certification
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the ARC-PA or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Excellent patient management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Experience working in Electronic Medical Records software
