Richard J. Wilbur, MD FACP


Richard Wilbur, MD FACP, has been practicing medicine for 28 years. He graduated from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in 1981 and was born in Albany, New York. Dr. Wilbur is most passionate about helping people get back into a healthy lifestyle. What he loves most about practicing medicine is the relationships built with many long term patients throughout the years. Favorite Television Shows: Storage Wars, Criminal Minds, and Dancing with the Stars.

Richard Wilbur, MD FACP, was inspired to become a physician in high school. His best friend’s father was a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon, and served as a role model. Dr. Wilbur was also excellent in science and becoming a physician was a great way to combine science with people.

Dr. Wilbur is a Clinical assistant Professor for Nova Southeatern University College of Medicine.

Report/studies: Richard Wilbur, MD FACP, completed an independent study project at Duke University. The purpose was to find a correlation in the analysis of trace metal in sputum samples within cigarette smokers, cancer patients, and healthy individuals.

Hobbies: Ball room dancing and going to the movies
