Flu Season is near

What is the best way to reduce your chances of contracting the seasonal flu? The annual seasonal flu vaccination will greatly decrease your chances of getting a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Also, by getting your flu vaccination you are lessening the chance of the disease spreading throughout the community.

Flu season in the United States can begin in October and end in May. The flu vaccination can take two weeks to develop antibodies to provide protection against the influenza viruses so please plan accordingly.

Safecare Medical Center will be administering the influenza vaccination at both locations. Please contact us at (954) 454-6300 if you have any questions regarding the seasonal flu vaccine or would like to schedule an appointment to receive your flu shot.

Please visit Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more detailed information.
